Everyone wants to be proactive, to take positive action to benefit their community. Sometimes it can be very difficult to determine how best to target limited resources to achieve that “positive” action. The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) recognizes that allocation of its limited resources must be supported through proper research and planning.
That is precisely what the Housing Needs Assessments achieve, a careful and thorough analysis of existing housing conditions and resources, an inventory and scoring of the existing housing stock and identification of the greatest needs within the community. These county-by-county assessments give local municipal and county leaders insight, help Region III-A develop regional housing strategies and educate State housing officials to those insights and strategies.
