Region III-A Staff
Jessica joined Region III-A in 2014. She has experience in economic development, community relations and government affairs. As the executive director, she is looking forward to working closely with the diverse communities who are a part of Region 3-A. She is a graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in political science and telecommunications. Jessica and her husband Jason reside in Huntington with their family and enjoy being involved in their community.
| Matt Brinkman
Director of Housing
Matt began his work with Region III-A in 2014. He has experience in sales and banking. Throughout his banking career he was involved with many real estate projects and will utilize that experience in his new role helping people throughout the region with their real estate needs. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s degree in economics. He resides in Allen County.
Director of Technical Services
In 2004, Dave joined Region III-A. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Art with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design. As the Director of Technical Services, Dave is responsible for Transportation Planning, and is the program manager of the Brownfield Coalition Assessment grant. Technical Services also provides support to the Northeast Indiana Housing Partnership, Inc. as the construction supervisor of Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation housing. In his role at Region 3-A, Dave enjoys the challenge of taking a project from the idea stage, contributing his expertise, and seeing the finished project take shape.
Technical Services Planner
Dave began working with Region III-A in 2009. In his role, Dave works on traffic count studies, reports and analysis for INDOT, FEMA, and the Region III-A member counties. Dave also provides support with data and GIS mapping. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Supervisory Management from IPFW. He is happily married with three grown children and four active grandchildren.
Community Development Planner
Kristine joined the Region III-A team in 2010. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Trine University (formerly Tri-State University, Angola, IN). Kristine has experience in identifying and securing grants and planning projects for several of our member counties, and particularly enjoys developing park master plans and administering public facilities projects. Some of her more recent projects include the Noble County parks and recreation needs assessment and master plan and the Town of Shipshewana parks and recreation five-year master plan. Her work at Region III-A has allowed the opportunity to write a recently-funded CDBG fire truck grant in to improve fire and rescue operations in portions of LaGrange County as well as a 2013 CEDF Oakwood Inn Acquisition project that created over 130 new jobs in Kosciusko County. The greatest personal reward for Kristine is assisting communities in obtaining necessary grant funds and developing plans that ultimately result in a positive impact in the lives of area residents. She and her husband live near the Town of Orland and have three sons and one grandson.
|David Keuhl, PhD
Community Development Planner
David joined Region III-A in 2014. Previously he has worked as a professor teaching Urban Planning at Ball State University and Community Planning and Sustainable Management at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University, a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Iowa, and a Doctorate degree in Environmental Design and Planning from Virginia Tech. He lives in Columbia City with his wife, where he raises chickens and bees on a small hobby farm. He is the proud father of four daughters.
Sandra joined Region III-A in 2014. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Purdue University-Fort Wayne. Previously Sandra has worked as a Human Resource Coordinator, Office Manager and Sales Manager. She and her husband are happily married, have one son and reside in Dekalb County.
